The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority has selected Bede Gaming as the provider for its new online gaming platform, BetSIGA. The two organizations will jointly design, build and launch the platform, which is scheduled to go live in the spring of 2027. The new BetSIGA solution will replace the existing PlayNow platform, which SIGA has operated as Saskatchewan's only legal online gaming site since November 2022. Players will be migrated to the new platform to access an enhanced digital experience tailored to the local player base. SIGA president and CEO Zane Hansen said BetSIGA represents a key part of the authority's long-term digital strategy. "This will be our own platform, built with a partner that shares our commitment to safe, responsible and engaging play, and it will continue to share success with revenue distributed to support First Nation communities and Saskatchewan," Hansen said. The platform was chosen following a competitive procurement process, positioning SIGA to launch its own branded online gaming experience.

The BetSIGA platform will be accessible through a responsive website and dedicated iOS and Android mobile apps. It will be built on open, modular technology designed to accommodate future growth in player expectations, regulatory requirements and SIGA's own digital strategy. The platform is intended to support data, loyalty and personalization features over time, connecting online play with SIGA's broader gaming ecosystem. Safe and trusted play is described as a central focus, with the platform incorporating identity verification, geolocation, anti-money laundering protocols, security measures, player protection tools and responsible gaming controls.

Colin Cole-Johnson, chief executive officer at Bede Gaming, said the partnership goes beyond a simple technology implementation. "It represents a significant opportunity to combine trusted technology, deep sector expertise and true operational collaboration," Cole-Johnson said. He added, "SIGA has a clear and ambitious vision for the future of gaming in Saskatchewan, and we are proud to support the team in building a connected digital ecosystem that will deliver exceptional player experiences and sustainable long-term value." The launch of BetSIGA in spring 2027 will mark a new phase for legal online gaming in the province. The platform is designed to grow with player expectations and regulatory needs, and to connect digital play with SIGA's broader gaming ecosystem. Revenue generated will continue to be distributed to support First Nation communities and the province of Saskatchewan.
