Brightstar Cash Pop draw game launches in Ontario via OLG
The draw-style game, featuring five daily draws, is now available through the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
Brightstar Lottery has launched its Cash Pop draw-based game in Canada through the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. The launch marks the first time the game has been offered in a Canadian lottery jurisdiction. The game features five daily draws and offers players multiple price points and customization options. It is now part of OLG's lottery portfolio, available to players in Ontario.
"Introducing Brightstar's Cash Pop game in Ontario allows OLG to bring a proven, innovative game to players while continuing to evolve our lottery portfolio," said Andrew Darley, OLG vice president of lottery product. "As the first lottery jurisdiction in Canada to offer the Cash Pop game, we're excited to expand player choice with a unique draw-based game while continuing to give back to communities across Ontario." The game involves players selecting numbers to match those drawn, with prizes tied to the selections. Scott Gunn, Brightstar chief operating officer for North America, said the company is "thrilled to introduce our proprietary Cash Pop game to Ontario through this partnership with OLG." He added, "The game's innovative format has resonated with players across multiple jurisdictions, and we look forward to supporting OLG as it continues delivering engaging lottery experiences." Brightstar Lottery, formerly part of IGT, is a global lottery supplier providing games, systems and services to government-run operators.
The company has a series of contracts with lotteries across North America, including a recent extension of its agreement with Washington’s Lottery that runs to 2036. OLG operates and regulates gaming and lottery activity in Ontario, a province that has become a closely watched iGaming market in North America. Lottery products remain a significant part of OLG's broader offering alongside its regulated online gaming activity. Brightstar Cash Pop has been adopted by several state and provincial lotteries in recent years. Operators have cited its simple mechanics and regular draw schedule as features suited to both retail and digital distribution. The game is described as a fresh and innovative draw game that offers easy-to-play mechanics, enabling players to create a personalized experience.
Brightstar Lottery PLC is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol BRSL. The company serves nearly 90 lottery customers and their players on six continents. It is the primary technology provider to 26 of the 46 lottery jurisdictions in the United States and to eight of the world's 10 largest lotteries with central systems. Brightstar has approximately 6,000 employees. The Ontario launch of Brightstar Cash Pop adds to the supplier's footprint by placing one of its draw-style products with a major Canadian operator. The game's proven concept has demonstrated highly engaging appeal among players in jurisdictions where it is already offered.
